Grange-over-Sands
Grange over Sands is a beautiful little town in the South Lakes. It
developed from a tiny fishing village into a small picturesque Victorian
seaside resort when the The Victorian influence in the design of the town is apparent everywhere. There are delightful ornamental gardens, a duck pond, a bandstand and a mile-long promenade. The palm trees show just how mild the climate is in this appealing town. A leisurely stroll along the sweeping Promenade is a delight, and once a month during summer it is the venue for over 50 artists to sell a wide range of arts and craft. You can take afternoon tea in one of the many cafes, and evening meals at the pubs and restaurants. There is always a treasure to be found in one of the many specialist independent shops, or you could while away the day at one of our two golf courses. Just some of the attractions of the area are listed below, but there are many more, and we are confident you will enjoy exploring this wonderful corner of the Lake District and beyond.
